In July 2017, Spanish courts ruled against the owner of several retail stores that were selling counterfeit Aimpoint products. Following over two years of legal proceedings, this individual was sentenced to 6 months in prison and forced to pay substantial monetary damages and fines. The case began when Spanish authorities raided the stores and confiscated the illegal sights
